Content Writer - help-centre articles (remote)

Fernwood Mill Energy is an energy provider in Sacramento focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Content Writer to lead our help-centre articles. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about service connections. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. What we are looking for • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
