Fernwood Junction Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Oakland. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on help-centre articles. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about resident services. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. • Strong editing habits. Nice to have • Experience with resident services. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
