Content Writer - help-centre articles (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Yarrow Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Chicago, and we need a Content Writer to lead our help-centre articles. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about procurement. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. What we are looking for • Curiosity about how things work. • Strong editing habits. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Experience with procurement. • Basic SEO knowledge. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
