Content Writer - help-centre articles (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood River Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Birmingham and nearby communities. We are hiring a Content Writer to take on help-centre articles. You would join a small organisation of about 144 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Keep existing content accurate and easy to find. • Write and edit guides, emails and web pages about water quality. • Follow a style guide and suggest improvements to it. • Interview staff and customers and turn what you learn into clear articles. • Work with subject experts to check facts before publishing. What we are looking for • Strong editing habits. • Curiosity about how things work. • A portfolio of clear, practical writing. Nice to have • Basic SEO knowledge. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
