Compliance Analyst - audit readiness (Buffalo, NY)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Buffalo and nearby communities. We are hiring a Compliance Analyst to take on audit readiness. You would join a large organisation of about 286 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Train staff on requirements for capital projects. • Keep the policy library current and easy to search. • Track findings until they are fixed. • Review processes against regulations and internal policies. • Prepare regulatory filings and audit evidence. What we are looking for • Two or more years in compliance, audit or risk. • Careful reading and clear writing. • Comfort saying no politely. Nice to have • Certification in compliance or audit. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
