Case Manager - benefits navigation (remote)

Ironwood Ember Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in San Diego. We are hiring a Case Manager to take on benefits navigation. You would join a large organisation of about 530 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Follow up regularly and update records accurately. • Help with applications and appointments for waiting lists. • Meet clients, understand their needs and build a simple plan. • Report outcomes to funders in clear, short summaries. • Connect clients with partner agencies. What we are looking for • Empathy, patience and good boundaries. • Strong documentation habits. • Experience in social services, casework or a related field. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • Bilingual English and Spanish. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
