Bookkeeper - payroll support (Sacramento, CA)

Fernwood Glen Hospitality is a hospitality company in Sacramento with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring a Bookkeeper to take on payroll support. You would join a large organisation of about 988 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Answer supplier and customer billing questions by phone and email. • Prepare monthly reports for the owner and the outside accountant. • Track paperwork for housekeeping schedules so nothing is filed late. • Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts and chase missing receipts. • Enter and code invoices, deposits and expenses daily. What we are looking for • Experience keeping books for a small or mid-sized organisation. • Organised, discreet and dependable. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar package. Nice to have • Payroll experience. • Comfort with sales-tax filings. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
