Bookkeeper - payables and receivables (Oakland, CA)

Ironwood Junction Housing Group is a nonprofit housing provider in Oakland, and we need a Bookkeeper to lead our payables and receivables. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts and chase missing receipts. • Track paperwork for resident services so nothing is filed late. • Prepare monthly reports for the owner and the outside accountant. • Enter and code invoices, deposits and expenses daily. • Answer supplier and customer billing questions by phone and email. What we are looking for • Experience keeping books for a small or mid-sized organisation. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar package. • Organised, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Payroll experience. • Comfort with sales-tax filings. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
