Bookkeeper - month-end reporting (Jackson, MS)

Lumen Rowan Hospitality is a hospitality company in Jackson with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need a Bookkeeper to lead our month-end reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare monthly reports for the owner and the outside accountant. • Track paperwork for supplier orders so nothing is filed late. • Answer supplier and customer billing questions by phone and email. • Enter and code invoices, deposits and expenses daily. • Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts and chase missing receipts. What we are looking for • Organised, discreet and dependable. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar package. • Experience keeping books for a small or mid-sized organisation. Nice to have • Payroll experience. • Comfort with sales-tax filings. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
