Bookkeeper - bank reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind River Housing Group manages affordable housing communities across Virginia Beach, and we need a Bookkeeper to lead our bank reconciliation. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Enter and code invoices, deposits and expenses daily. • Answer supplier and customer billing questions by phone and email. • Track paperwork for repair requests so nothing is filed late. • Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts and chase missing receipts. • Prepare monthly reports for the owner and the outside accountant. What we are looking for • Experience keeping books for a small or mid-sized organisation. • Organised, discreet and dependable. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar package. Nice to have • Comfort with sales-tax filings. • Payroll experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
