Adult Education Instructor - claims and insurance basics (St. Louis, MO)

Fernwood Loom Insurance is a small independent agency in St. Louis that also runs a free evening workshop for people who have just been through a claim and want to understand it. We need a contract instructor to lead that programme. What the work involves • Teach two evening classes a week on reading an insurance policy, filing a claim and appealing a denial. • Adapt the materials for adults with limited English or little paperwork experience. • Keep a short attendance and follow-up log so we can see who needs a one-to-one call. You are a good fit if • You have taught adults, whether in a classroom, library or community centre. • You are comfortable with insurance vocabulary or willing to learn it quickly, we provide a reference pack. This is a remote-friendly contract, though we run one session each month in person in St. Louis.
