Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

Amberfield Hollow Energy is an energy provider in Wichita focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
