Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Pike Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with change orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
