Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

Silverline Cedar Inspection Services is an inspection company in Wichita with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 488 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
