Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

Westbrook Basin Arts Center is an arts centre in Wichita with a full calendar of events, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around event logistics against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to volunteer programmes, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
