Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Wichita, KS)

Highbridge Vista Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Wichita. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
