Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Solutions manages affordable housing communities across Virginia Beach. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Track costs around maintenance stores against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with lease compliance. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
