Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Cedar North Property Management looks after rental homes across the Virginia Beach area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease renewals, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with lease renewals.
