Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Lumen Ridge Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Virginia Beach. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
