Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind Hollow Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Virginia Beach area, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We invest in training. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
