Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Virginia Beach, VA)

Highbridge Oak Inspection Services is an inspection company in Virginia Beach with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
