Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Tampa, FL)

Ironwood Analytics is a community-focused bank in Tampa serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with fraud alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
