Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Tampa, FL)

Westbrook Union Hospitality is a hospitality company in Tampa with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 649 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around food costs against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with supplier orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
