Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Tampa, FL)

Northwind Clear Environmental Services Group collects and processes waste and recycling around Tampa. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fleet maintenance, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around landfill records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tampa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
