Accountant - revenue reconciliation (St. Louis, MO)

Fernwood Oak Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for test reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 846 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
