Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Yarrow Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 622 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to claims, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
