Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Savannah, GA)

Silverline Mill Farms is an agricultural business based around Savannah. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
