Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Linden Inspection Services Group provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Savannah. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
