Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Mill Environmental Services Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 675 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around weigh tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
