Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Diego, CA)

Highbridge Summit Markets is a San Diego retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 665 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
