Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Maple Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around San Diego, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with classroom supplies. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
