Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Antonio, TX)

Bluepeak Quill Transit Planning helps transport agencies around San Antonio design routes and schedules, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 93 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
