Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Antonio, TX)

Clearpath Haven Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the San Antonio area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to student accounts, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
