Accountant - revenue reconciliation (San Antonio, TX)

Redstone Oak Banking Services Group is a regional lender in San Antonio with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
