Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Summit Timber Pharma develops and makes medicines in Salt Lake City, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
