Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Westbrook Bright Staffing places workers with employers around Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to candidate screening, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
