Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Bridge Energy and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 747 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
