Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Summit Hollow Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around usage data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter readings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
