Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Sacramento, CA)

Summit Mill Care Services provides in-home and community support in Sacramento, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 170 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
