Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Sacramento, CA)

Nova Sable Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Sacramento. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Track costs around licensing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
