Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Richmond, VA)

Rivermark Ashton Hospitality runs guest-focused properties across the Richmond area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around group events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with reviews and feedback. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
