Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Richmond, VA)

Greenridge West Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Richmond. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
