Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Sable Manufacturing Partners makes precision components in Richmond, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
