Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Reno, NV)

Northwind Lakeside Farms is an agricultural business based around Reno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with grower contracts. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
