Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Clear Freight Associates and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around dock schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
