Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Westbrook Wren Freight is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around dock schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
