Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Lumen Vale Markets is a Detroit retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to online orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with online orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
