Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Stonegate Meridian Inspection Services Group is an inspection company in Boston with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
