Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bright Drift Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Anchorage, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
