Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Timber Insurance and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around underwriting files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
